Cunningham Construction is owned and operated by John & Sue Cunningham. John has always had a passion for building. He completed a joinery apprenticeship shortly after finishing at Nayland college. He moved into house building and had a company called John Cunningham Builder for a number of years. During this time he draw the plans and built homes throughout the Nelson region, specially in Stoke.  Sue and John stepped out of the building industry for 10 years where they ran a landscaping business in Richmond.  15 years ago John started building again Edward Durbridge-Hunt his son-in-law began working with him in 2010, completing his apprenticeship during the following years. John & Ed have worked together ever since slowly building up to a team of 10.

Purple is my favourite colour but Purple kitchen sounded weird so I went with Lilac I started in October 2021 just making cakes for family & friends and saw an opportunity where I could actually make some sort of living out of this gig, so i went for it.
